Working Mothers Diaper Program

Ms. S. and Ms. J., both participants in our Working Mothers Diaper Program, are proof that the program does so much more than providing diapers and baby supplies to low income working mothers. These mothers got to know each other while attending weekly classes covering topics on early childhood development, budgeting and life skills. Ms. S. was in a violent situation from which she felt she had nowhere to go. Ms. J. was unable to pay her rent and was facing eviction from her apartment due to rising costs. The two women joined their households solving both of their problems thus improving the quality of their lives and that of their children. Instead of becoming another statistic, both families are self supporting and their children are in a safe, happy environment. To know more about this program, call Veyounder Brown at 629-0830.
