With over thirteen years of experience, the Armstrong Wealth Management Group is the Pee Dee's premier comprehensive wealth management firm. The firm also takes great pride in contributing both time and financial resources to improving the quality of life within the Pee Dee region. They have taken a pledge to contribute 2% of gross revenue to charitable organizations, with half going to Lighthouse Ministries to make a larger impact within the local community.
We are grateful for this generous contribution that will assist Lighthouse Ministries to continue to help families in times of emergency financial crisis.

Celebration of Light - Sunday, September 9, 2007
Our third annual Celebration of Light, a community church festival to celebrate all the local churches and individuals who give so much of their financial resources and energy to keep the doors of this ministry open.
Event Information
The event will be held Sunday, September 9th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church (700 Park Ave., Florence). There will be all sorts of fun family events, including free hotdogs, drinks, chips, face painting, cotton candy, an ice cream churn-off, music by local church choirs, and more! This year we are also giving away lots of wonderful door prizes! This will be a wonderful opportunity to get together as the whole Body of Christ in Florence County as well as to enjoy a relaxed, entertaining afternoon with friends and family.
We Need Your Help: Churn, Baby, Churn!
At the celebration we will be hosting an ice cream churn-off and we would hope you can help find a group (Mission team, outreach team, youth group, etc…) to represent your congregation that will be willing to churn a few gallons of ice cream. Each church is invited to decorate a table, upon which their group’s chilly offering will be displayed.
Celebration of Light - Sunday, September 11, 2005
Thank you to all who participated in our first annual "Celebration of Light". This event was held at First Presbyterian Church located 700 Park Avenue, Florence. Nineteen churches were represented with nearly 200 friends of Lighthouse Ministries coming out to enjoy homemade ice cream, hot dogs, cotton candy, and soft drinks. The kids enjoyed face painting, a moon walk, and a police car and fire truck exhibit.
The ice cream churn-off competition was won by Pisgah United Methodist Church who served up chocolate chip, chocolate, peach, and vanilla ice cream. A delicious orange sherbet gave Liberty Chapel and Friendship United Methodist Churchs an easy second place.
Other representatives were John Calvin Presbyterian (Banana Nut ice cream), Central United Methodist Church (Cheesecake ice cream), St. Ann's Catholic (Peach ice cream), and Trinity Presbyterian (Heavenly Hash).
Entertainment came from the choirs of John Calvin Presbyterian, Quinby UMC, Pisgah UMC, and a puppet show from Resurrection Outreach Ministries.
It was a great day of fun, fellowship, and the opportunity for Lighthouse Ministries to say "thank you" to the community for continuing to help them to "be a source of light in times of darkness."
