Thanks to Progress Energy volunteers putting on a coat of paint in the Ministries bare food pantry during the United Way Day of Caring 09/14/07 |

This year alone we have been able to distribute:
617 bags of food • 161 children’s books • 104 furniture items
By donating these items, you will play a vital role in the ministry.
Food - Lighthouse Ministries is not a food bank for Florence County but due to the enormous need, we find ourselves providing more and more food to the participants that walk through our doors. Due to the local pantries only being able to assist periodically throughout the year and only on certain days of the week, we have found our pantry cold and empty. With your donations of the following items, Lighthouse Ministries will be able to provide food for those with limited resources during the Holidays:
• Peanut Butter
• Jelly
• Canned meats
• Canned fruit
• Canned soup
• Macaroni and cheese
• Rice (small bag)
• Macaroni (small bag)
Books (new or slightly used) - The Dolly Parton Imagination Program is no longer available to children in Florence County. Since this program has been discontinued, Lighthouse Ministries provides family members that come for assistance with 2 books for each child in the household. These children will have the opportunity to keep these books to read at home. With your donation, we will be able to provide preschool and elementary age children books to have during the Holidays:
Furniture - Lighthouse Ministries assists families that have experienced a burnout, domestic violence, or homelessness with all donated furniture items. A volunteer will pick up the following items that are needed to assist families with limited resources that have found themselves in these situations:
Beds • Dressers • Chairs • Couches
