Christmas...What Can We Do?

Have you ever asked yourself this question? Have you ever been in an organization or group and wanted to help a family with limited resources during the Holidays but didn’t know where to start?

Well….. Lighthouse Ministries will again assist sponsors with adopting families for the holidays. When families come in for assistance they are interviewed. Through this interview process families that are in need of further assistance during the Holidays are added to a list.

If you or your organization is interested in providing “Christmas” for a needy family in Florence County, please contact Cecilia L. Meggs at 629-0830 to discuss the list of families and their needs. Below are a few things to remember:

• Money cannot be accepted by Lighthouse Ministries to purchase gifts, clothes or food; each sponsor must be willing to accept this commitment when adopting a Holiday Family.
• Lighthouse Ministries is not a drop point for gifts, clothes or food; it is the responsibility of the sponsor and recipient to arrange this.
• We encourage you to provide one (1) clothing item and one (1) toy item for each child as you are able to assist. When delivering your gift, please share about the real meaning of Christmas.
