The School Foundation helps
to prepare children for kindergarten.

Education doesn't just begin when a child reaches kindergarten-- it begins at birth. One of the resources available in Florence is The School Foundation. Over the years The School Foundation has prided itself on supporting and contributing to FSD1's K-12 teachers and students. With the creation of the Start SMART program, they have added a brand new goal-- assisting parents in preparing their children for kindergarten.

Wealth Management Group continues to assist those in need, through Lighthouse Ministries.

Armstrong Wealth Management Group recently donated $14,952.00 to Lighthouse Ministries to assist those in need in our community.
Armstrong Wealth Management Group is one of the Pee Dee’s comprehensive wealth management firms. Reginald A.T. Armstrong and his team have taken a personal interest in those less fortunate who live in our community. Over the past three years Regi has lead his team to contribute at least 2% of the company’s gross revenue to local charitable organizations annually, with half (1%) going to their major cause, Lighthouse Ministries, to make a larger impact within the Florence community.

We are soooo proud!!!!

cecilia meggsOur very own Executive Director, Cecilia Meggs, has been awarded the Francis Marion Non-profit Leadership Institute’s Award for Excellence in Non-profit Leadership at the annual South Carolina Association of Non-profit Organization’s (SCANPO) Annual Conference in Columbia.

Leaders of hundreds of non-profit organizations across the state vie for this prestigious award with Cecilia being chosen following a competitive selection process.

Upon receiving this award, Cecilia gave credit to those around her at Lighthouse Ministries. She said “It is wonderful to be able to give back to the community in this way.  I am humbled by this award, and excited, because this is really a recognition, not of me, but of Lighthouse Ministries.”

Thank you to everyone who

Our tours are held the third Thursday of each month.

We invite you to attend to see firsthand what we do here in our community. There is no charge but we do ask you to register. Lunch is provided by the Methodist Manor and we promise to limit it to one hour. This is an informative tour, not a solicitation for donations. We would love to have you.
